After 5 - Georgian Triangle Humane Society

Thursday, February 1, 2018 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Location: 549 Tenth Line

The team at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society is proud to host the After 5 event on Thursday February 1st. Please drop by our animal shelter at 549 Tenth Line for a tour of their facility and the opportunity to learn about latest programs and initiatives in the community.

Please don’t forget to bring your business card that will be entered in our draw to win a kitten (OPPS….we mean a lovely gift basket).

The Georgian Triangle Humane Society helps homeless cats and dogs providing them with a second chance at a forever home. The charity is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, a dedicated team of seven full time staff members and over 300 active volunteers that are the heartbeat of the organization. The shelter helps over a thousand abandoned, neglected, abused and homeless cats and dogs annually providing them with the love, care and medical attention they require while waiting to be adopted.

Open seven days a week, the shelter receives over 7000 visitors annually with a following of over 6000 supporters on social media platforms like Facebook. In addition to their adoption programs, the society offers community tours and presentations, dog obedience classes, spay/neuter assistance programs and educational workshops. This year, they are actively working towards launching a humane education program to offer exciting programs to youth such as junior animal welfare certifications and programs for completing high school volunteer hours.

See you on Thursday February 1st at 5pm!

There is no charge to attend the Chambers After 5 events and you can bring a one time guest who has not been previously to an After 5, so they can see some advantages of Chamber membership.
